About NorKam

NorKam Secondary offers a wide range of senior elective courses, including English, calculus 12, history and geography 12, physics 12 and Spanish, see Course Selection Website. Other choices include trades and technology, computer animation and digital media, automotive technology, and hairdressing. NorKam also offers three trades sampler programs provided by Thompson Rivers University.

NKSS hosts the only International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programmes in the interior of British Columbia. The two-year diploma program includes mathematics, geography, history, French, Spanish, biology, chemistry and physics. This is a world-recognized university preparation program.

NKSS has a drama program and an arts program. The visual arts program offers photography, drawing and painting, ceramics and 3D art. The music program offers band and guitar.

The school sets aside time in its weekly schedule for students to catch up on their studies, explore passions or interests, or participate in clubs. School clubs include Key Club, Debate and Diplomacy, Genders and Sexualities Alliance Club.

Team sports include soccer, volleyball, cross-country running, basketball, rugby, ultimate frisbee, curling, wrestling, and badminton.
