Learning Plans

A public commitment by SD73 to work with our education partners to enhance student learning, the District Learning Plan is developed with consideration of the Ministry of Education Framework for Enhancing Student Learning, the District Strategic Plan, individual school plans, and the Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement. Designed to extend student thinking through a focus on the core competencies and foundational skills, while embracing the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation Report. The goal of an 85% graduation rate has been met and is now 90%, and includes parity for Aboriginal students. The plan focuses on leveraging strengths, and highlights areas that need further work, such as numeracy. It supports all learners and positions SD73 as a dynamic school district, achieving success for all students through a commitment to equity and excellence.
