Microsoft Outlook Issues: Users may find that they can't download attachments from their email and/or that Outlook is running very slowMicrosoft reports they released an update which has had unexpected resultsAs a work around for attachments, you can try signing out of your Microsoft account and signing back in. This may work for you but is not guaranteed.

We determined that a recent update, intended to improve the reliability of Outlook on the web, contains a code configuration issue that's causing long running sessions and may prevent attachment downloads. We're developing a fix to remediate impact. 

 

UPDATE #1:   

Apr 2, 2024, 1:51 PM PDT  

Development of the fix continues and once complete, we'll deploy it to our internal testing environment and validate that it resolves this issue without further complications. 

  

UPDATE #2:  

Apr 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM PDT  

Microsoft is in the testing phase of their fix. It should be ready to be deployed for their next scheduled Outlook update on Monday April 8. Next status update is expected Monday, April 8 at 2:00 PM PDT 

  

UPDATE #3:   

Apr 8, 2024

Microsoft is still working on the solution/fix. Next update expected by:Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM PDT 

UPDATE #4: 

Apr 11, 2024

Microsoft's fix deployment is taking longer than they expected.  They are hoping to provided an estimated timeline for completion by their next scheduled update Friday, April 12 at 4:00 PM PDT.

UPDATE #5:
Apr 15, 2024

Microsoft has completed the deployment of the fix and advise that the issue has been resolved. If users are still experiencing the issue, please ensure that they log out and log back in to their devices for the changes to take effect.

Westsyde Elementary School will undergo a “UserID” change to align with the School District Student UserID Conversion project. We will do our best to minimize the overall length of time for this disruption, however, the disruption may last for 24 to 48 hours. 

This process will disrupt classroom use of students’ GEDU accounts and Chromebooks.
