Board Award of Recognition: 2026 Nominations Reminder

Awards & Achievement, Board of Education |

There is still time to nominate someone for this year’s Board Award of Recognition. The final day to submit nominations is Friday, May 1, 2026.

This Board Award of Recognition honours an individual whose actions have made a meaningful and lasting contribution to public education by strengthening student well‑being and fostering inclusive, supportive school communities.

The Board Award of Recognition celebrates individuals who:

  • Support the growth and well‑being of all learners
  • Champion inclusive learning environments, particularly for learners who have been historically marginalized
  • Help break down barriers to student success by creating accessible and empowering opportunities

Do you know a district staff member, parent, caregiver, volunteer, or community member who is collaborative, enthusiastic, selfless, generous, and a positive risk taker whose dedication and care have positively impacted students, schools, or the broader community?

If someone comes to mind, we encourage you to submit a nomination by May 1, 2026. Full nomination details are available at sd73.bc.ca/board-award-of-recognition.

Thank you for helping us recognize the individuals whose commitment and contributions enrich public education across the Kamloops-Thompson School District.
