First Athletic Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees
Brocklehurst Secondary School proudly celebrated a historic milestone at this year's Athletic Banquet with the induction of the first members of the Brock Secondary Athletic Alumni Hall of Fame. Brandon Nash and Riley Nash, whose athletic achievements and lasting connection to Brock continue to inspire our school community.
Brandon and Riley's success is the result of years of dedication, perseverance and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. While many know them for their accomplishments in hockey, their athletic journey began at Brock where they embraced every opportunity to compete. Both were multi-sport athletes who also represented the Broncs in volleyball, basketball, and rugby during their junior years, developing the athleticism, teamwork and competitive spirit that would help shape their future careers.
Their achievements were never built on talent alone. They were earned through discipline, commitment, and countless hours of training, especially during the off-season. Their willingness to put in the extra work serves as a powerful reminder that reaching the next level takes far more than natural ability. It requires consistency, resilience and a commitment to improving every day.
Just as importantly, Brandon and Riley represented Brock Secondary with humility, integrity and pride. They understood that being a student-athlete meant striving for excellence not only in competition but also in the classroom and throughout the school community. They led by example, demonstrated respect for their teammates, coaches and teachers, and embodied the values that continue to define Brock athletics.
As the inaugural inductees into the Brock Secondary Athletic Alumni Hall of Fame, Brandon and Riley have established the standard for those who will follow. Their accomplishments remind current and future Broncs that success is built through hard work, sacrifice and a willingness to pursue excellence in every aspect of life.
Their legacy extends far beyond the rink and the Brock community. It is reflected in the example they set for young athletes who dream of competing at the next level and in the pride they continue to bring to Brock Secondary. Their journey shows that with dedication, character and a strong work ethic, students from Brock can achieve extraordinary things.
Congratulations to Brandon Nash and Riley Nash on this well-deserved honour. Your accomplishments have made Brock proud, and your legacy will continue to inspire generations of Brock athletes for years to come.
Congratulations do have a couple of action shots from them playing hockey but they are on my school computer. I will see if I can access them from home.
