Remembrance Day : Student Uniforms
The Juniper Ridge Remembrance Day Assembly will be held on November 10 at 11:00am. On this day, we will recognize both Indigenous Veterans Day which is Nov 8 and Remembrance Day which is Nov 11. Unfortunately, we are not able to invite parents this year as our gym capacity is too close to its Fire Safety limit.
As we prepare for our assembly, we would like to invite any student who is a participant in the Canadian Armed Forces' Indigenous Summer Programs. Junior Canadian Rangers, Cadets, Girl Guides or Scouts to wear their uniform to school on November 10 to help honour all our veterans and these important days. Mr Buemann and Mrs Moore will be coordinating the Remembrance Day Assembly at Juniper. Please email us if your child will be wearing their uniform so that we can prepare to have them in the assembly.

Thank you for supporting our students and helping make their year-end trip possible!
Halloween
We know students and families may already be planning on Halloween costumes for school on October 30. We thought we would send this out now in case it influences what you do for a costume.
Students are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes or wear orange and black. However, please remember the following about costumes:
- No masks
- No weapons
- No extra paraphernalia that students may lose (this leads to lots of tears and sad faces all around)
- No make-up depicting gore.
- Be sure the clothing is comfortable to be in all day
- No inflatable costumes of any kind
- BE SURE THE STUDENT CAN GO TO THE BATHROOM ON THEIR OWN WHILE IN THEIR CLOTHING / COSTUME
Please remember that we have littles in the school. We don’t want anything too scary as we want them to enjoy the Halloween experience too.
