Each year, the Kamloops-Thompson School District aligns the budget priorities with the 2022-2027 District Strategic Plan, focusing funding on supports for student learning, well-being, and equitable opportunities across our schools.

At the Regular Public Board Meeting on April 27, 2027, the Board of Education conducted the first reading of the 2026-2027 Annual Budget Bylaw. Watch the full 2026-2027 Annual Budget Bylaw presentation here.

At the Special Public Board Meeting on Monday, May 11, 2026, the Kamloops-Thompson Board of Education approved the 2026-2027 Annual Budget Bylaw. Watch the board meeting below and read more here.

Budget Consultation Process and Identifying Priorities

The 2026–2027 budget was developed through multiple rounds of consultation with the Indigenous Education Council, Kamloops Thompson Principals and Vice Principals Association, Kamloops Thompson Teachers Association, CUPE Local 3500, District Parent Advisory Council, Board, senior leadership parents, cargivers, and community.
