Dear Staff, Parents, and Caregivers,

Nominations for the 2026 Owl Award for Excellence in Public Education close on April 20, 2026.

The Owl Award is one of the Kamloops‑Thompson School District’s highest honours recognizing outstanding, system‑wide contributions to public education. Now in its ninth year, this prestigious award celebrates individuals and groups whose sustained dedication has had a meaningful and lasting impact on students, schools, and the broader community.

Please consider nominating an individual, group, or organization who has demonstrated excellence and leadership over a period of five years or more in one or more of the following areas:

  • Student Learning and Teaching
  • Athletics
  • Fine Arts
  • Community Well‑being and Partnerships
  • Extra‑ or Co‑Curricular Learning
  • Administration and Support
  • Governance

If you know someone whose commitment, generosity, and leadership have helped shape public education in our district, we encourage you to submit a nomination by April 20, 2026.
